Preliminary Task Evaluation!

When we showed our preliminary task to the class we received a wide range of feedback. Our group passed the task by following the 180 degree rule and included shot/reverse shot and ended with a close up. Our aims was to pass the task including the shots asked for but do as the teacher said and make it quite basic, because we would like our next task to be more edited with bloopers and a variety of sounds and camera shots to make it a big step up from what we done in the preliminary task. The feedback we got from the class was that we had a good action match and it was very quick. The audience also thought that we had a powerful storyline to the viewer in which we got straight to the point of the story by using four lines of dialogue like we was asked to. The audience also felt that our close up was good to end on because it showed the emotion in the story line as it ended as a cliff-hanger. The audience also gave us some feedback on what we should improve and what they would like to see in our next practical task. As we choose to film our practical in the common room because it is an environment that fits our storyline of two best friends talking because it’s where everyone goes to socialise and have fun. I thought it fitted the scene however there was a lot of background noise of other people talking which was very loud so you could hardly hear us. This let us realise if we were ever to film in the common room again we would ask people to be more quiet or we could do some editing to reduce the background sound levels.
